About DIONE 2023

COVID-19 has had a great impact on the social, economic, and scientific spheres. The problems that the pandemic has generated in these scenarios have led to the study of new ways of improving communication and dissemination of sensitive content, such as post-truth and infodemic on social networks.

Information scientists are challenged to find solutions regarding the economic dimension of science and technology, open access studies, access metrics on the web, and new information formats. On the other hand, we also have a significant aggregate of information that seeks to solve the economic part of the scientific and technological context, applying studies on open access content, access metrics to scientific content, web and new information formats in the network, and the relationship between science and society.

In this general scenario, everything is mediated by an informative context of web content, by which the mining of scientific, technical, and business data is required for further interpretation. This requires general skills and knowledge of relevant technologies, such as data science, data curation, and research data management techniques.

For that reason the fourth edition of DIONE 2023 is taking place, an event that was born in response to the growing interaction between information sciences, communication sciences, and computer sciences. DIONE 2023 aims to bring together researchers and professionals from academia and industry to present theoretical proposals and practical solutions in the treatment, processing, and study of data and information produced in online environments, the latest trends in the analysis of network information, social media metrics, data processing technologies, and open science. In DIONE 2023 an interdisciplinary space is provided to improve cooperation between data science, data engineering, big data, research evaluation, network science, open science, scientometrics, sociology of science and citizen science, disinformation, among others. This edition will take place in Nanchang, China.
